Dr. Alex De Hoyos is a double gator who recently graduated from the University of Florida with her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. She also graduated with a certificate in Shelter Medicine as well as a certificate in Fear-Free practices. While at UF College of Veterinary Medicine, she served on the board of a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion club whose involvement expanded throughout the Gainesville community. Her special interest include preventative medicine, surgery, geriatric care, and strengthening the human-animal bond. 

When she is not at work, she is often found working out, reading at a local coffee shop, or reading on a plane towards her next adventure.  She also enjoys being outdoors or spending time with her friends, family, and family cats, Charlie and Merlin.
