McAbee Veterinary Hospital
About Us
Service You Can Trust
McAbee Veterinary Hospital was established in 1962 by Dr. Harry S. McAbee. Following his service in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II, Dr. Harry S. McAbee graduated from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1951. Dr. Scott W. McAbee, a 1990 graduate of the same school, took over the practice in 1991.
Our 35 employees, including 7 doctors with combined professional experience of over 80 years, are committed to compassionately providing pets with the most up-to-date wellness care, and diagnostic and treatment plans.
Our staff is sensitive to the needs of our clients and their pets. We fully understand that the needs of each client may be different and that only through effective communication can reasonable options be presented.
AAHA Accreditation
We are one of the longest-standing members of the American Animal Hospital Association in Central Florida - your pet's assurance of high-quality veterinary care. Being AAHA accredited means that our doctors hold themselves to a higher standard. Accredited hospitals are evaluated on stringent quality standards that encompass all aspects of veterinary medicine. This includes everything from pain management and patient care to team training and medical record keeping.
By coming to a place that is AAHA accredited you will feel comfortable knowing that this hospital will meet all of your standards. We are already complying with the strict standards of AAHA, so you know we are always on top of our game. While the accreditation is proof that we comply with those standards, our love of animals is what drives us and we will always give our patients the very best service they need.
